Jewish Heritage Revival One Heritage United by Messiah Statement of the Ministry - 2008 The ministry of Jewish Heritage Revival registered for its web site on February 2006. We have now completed two calendar years and therefore have sufficient information to look back at our progress in reaching the world with the purpose we have set forth on our home page. Within our statement to you, our congregation, we will cover the following:
Please note that this report is not a financial report, in that we are not a ministry that solicits funds for operations. We do not sell our material or require a donation for you to receive our information. You are called our congregation because, even though we do not occupy a building, your support through your emails and the reading our materials, make you a stake holder in the success of this ministry. More on that later. If you truly believe what we are presenting, a revival of the Jewish Heritage, which has been missing from within the church community for centuries, we ask you to pass our information along to others. Also, we ask that you share with your Jewish friend the fact that you can still be Jewish and believe / follow Messiah.
An Assessment Of 2008 This past year for JHR offered many challenges. From the standpoint of article creation, it was a disappointment in that we only posted four new articles. My apologies. It had nothing to do with a lack of ideas or material, but challenges relating to my business and personal life that didn't afford me the focus that I needed, in order to provide my undivided attention to writing. My intent is to do better this year, hence this report. Through prayer and direction, I believe that by posting to you the congregation the goals for this ministry over the next 12 months, I will remain committed and accountable to complete what I have set forth. Outside of the new articles, we also created the following:
More will be said on these items when we state our goals for 2009
A Comparison Of 2008 With 2007 Even though our new article content was limited, we obtained much success through our web site results. Below, is a presentation with commentary regarding our web site traffic for 2008, as compared with our results from 2007.
1. Visitors:
Even though we only experienced a total percentage increase of 4% in total visitors, we experienced over a 93% increase in unique IP visitors. This means that many new people visited our web site. We had more people view more pages. The characteristics of a multiple page view is a visitor viewing two or more pages during a single visit. The percentage of multiple page views is based on our Total Visitors.
2. Content:
More new people had access to more information, resulting in a doubling of information viewed and downloaded.
3. How People Found Us:
With an additional year of indexing of last years content in conjunction with our new information, we are receiving good indexing of our content, primarily from Google. Even though we did experience a loss in the other search engines, we are not concerned in that our primary focus in article creation is based on the Google search engine, which accounts for over 60% of the search market. Our focus is in establishing what is known as organic results, rather then paid results. Not only are we being found through the search engine, but also via word of mouth.
A Look Forward To Our Ambitions For 2009 As a member of JHR, what can you expect for 2009? Our goal is completion of 9-12 articles for publishing on the web site. They will include:
There are an additional 15 topics that may become articles when time permits. In Addition To These Articles We Will Be Posting The Following:
A new addition will include presentation and commentary regarding the 613 commandments (mitzvot) found in Torah. We intend to present them according to the primary 10 commandments as well as by the 34 categories that they fall under. Question And Answer Page: We would like to include a Question and Answer page. Questions would be submitted by you our congregation. Answers would be researched and posted on a new page. Congregation At Lockport: In addition to all of the above, we will be researching the possibility of creating a congregation in Lockport, NY. At this point in time, we will merely be investigating what is involved. We will be looking at the need for the community of what God may create. Email List: We would like to create an email list of our supporters whereby when a new article is posted, a prayer request needs to be conveyed or any ministry related correspondence needs to be transmitted to our supporters, an email list will be beneficial. With everything involved, please keep us in your prayers. Please make certain that we don't lose sight of our ministry and what God's intentions are for this ministry as we state on our home page. So, as you can see, there are many things to accomplish for 2009. My intent is to accomplish as much of what is listed as possible without sacrificing the needs of you, the congregation. JHR is worldwide in that we have made contact and received correspondence from people as far away as New Zealand and Australia. Even though we may be considering establishing a local congregation, we are world wide and you are part of anything we do moving forward. I encourage you to email and comment. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for this ministry. God Bless, Stephen Luft
